Hello! Have completed my trip to Peru and
am back home in the USA. I wanted to take
this opportunity to say that the trip to Manu
was fabulous. The preparatory information
was very accurate especially the packing information.
I found that each suggested item was necessary
for a successful trip. And, each day before
the excursions began, our guide explained
what items were needed such as insect repellent,
rain gear, flash lights, etc. This is very
useful because I don't like to carry everything
just in case it is needed.
The food at the Manu Wildlife Center was wonderful.
The chef is excellent, and the dishes provided
an insight into Peruvian cuisine, which is
something I was interested in. It would be
a good idea to provide a menu for each night
and even some recipes if possible. I would
be interested in having them!
Finally, I would like to express sincere gratitude
to Percy, our guide. He was an excellent birder,
and he made sure I got good looks at the elusive
jungle birds, which I appreciated very much.
His disposition and graciousness is especially
noted as a fine example of a Peruvian host.
